A day at work

Just some updates.

Today is my third day at work, and second day on site. I think I have a wonderful working environment in the sense that my co-workers are all very friendly. Still quite puzzled why they post me to the tech team though. Cos my team were having a discussion today about network security, and 80% of the things I don't understand...

Haha, but let's not complain about that anymore.

A funny observation (or maybe sad observation..):Unlike some other companies where at 5.30pm, people start to pack up and leave, in my workplace, you hardly notice that it is 5.30pm. No, it's not because I'm engrossed in my work or something. It's just that there are just no observable movements or whatsoever. The only indication is the PA people start going away.. 5.30pm is just like 3.30pm. Then at 6pm, I noticed something even more depressing.. My team members have absolutely NO intentions to leave at 6!!! In fact, life seems to start at 6.. Before 6, everyone is like doing their own work. Then at 6, they start to have serious discussions about their work assignments. And the discussions can last for as long as 3 hours (for eg. today...).

In fact, a lot of team activities for my team are scheduled at timing well after 6... kao... They seriously have no intentions to leave at 6 sharp...

Sigh, think I better get used to it. Especially today, since I noticed that the tech team are the last to leave the office. sad sia.. lol

Genesis

Today is Sunday, and will be starting my third day at work tomorrow.

Was going through some of life's rough patches. Was quite depressed for some reasons. Think it is time for me to snap out of it. So, instead of whining about what has been going on the past week, I shall focus on what I am going to do to turn the situation around.

As I was saying, it is a matter of will. A man with no will to succeed will not excel regardless of how good his attitude is. And a man will only want to succeed if he has a good reason to do so. Sadly to say, I have no good reason now. But, I have a few strong reasons not to fail. Hence, these reasons shall be my motivation to work hard for now, until I have found the reason to work hard for.

Chai once told me about the importance of having good attitude. Joseph also told me about the significant impact of a good attitude on a perosn's mental state and well-being. I understand both men. And now, it is time for me to put what I know into practise. This time it will not be hardcore knowledge. Rather, it will be about applying soft knowledge I have gathered throughout the past years, since NS. This will be the real test; one of life's many tests.

Going back to work. Need to RAM up my knowledge. Later.
